気候変動やESGに関連し、政府や石油メジャーに対する注目すべき判決が最近続いております。最近の気候変動・ESG関連の裁判（特にオランダでのシェルに対する地裁判決、EU主要国に対する気候変動法についての訴訟等）について、これらの判決が事業者にどのような意味を持つのか、リスクを抑えるためにどのような対応を取るべきか、またこのような訴訟が企業の気候変動に関する方針にどのような影響を与えるかについて解説します。さらに「Say on Climate」キャンペーン等の気候変動・ESGの観点からのアクティビズムによる影響、および企業の対応についてもコメントを行います。
There have been a number of recent landmark climate litigation decisions affecting governments and corporates, including one concerning Shell’s carbon emissions. In this webinar, Linklaters partners from Europe will discuss these decisions and consider the practical implications for businesses. The webinar will also consider the effects of climate and wider ESG shareholder activism, including the ‘Say on Climate’ campaign during this AGM season and how companies are responding.
